How long can an opened product be kept in my refrigerator?
Once product is opened, under optimal storage conditions (in the refrigerator) product can last 4-7 days. We recommend that after storing an opened product in the refrigerator, prior to consuming the product, the consumer should visually inspect the product to make sure there is no spoilage.
Can leftover sauce be frozen and saved for later use?
Yes, the sauce can be frozen in a plastic container.
Are Monte Bene® sauces gluten-free?
Yes, all of our Monte Bene® sauces are gluten-free.
Are your products vegan?
The Tomato Basil, Garlic Marinara, and Spicy Marinara sauces are vegan. The Vodka sauce is not.
Are Monte Bene® pasta sauces Non-GMO Project Verified?
Yes, our Tomato Basil, Garlic Marinara, and Spicy Marinara are Non-GMO Project Verified. Unfortunately, our Vodka sauce is not verified at this time.
Are there any peanuts in your products?
Monte Bene® sauces are manufactured in a facility that also uses peanut ingredients. The sauces do not contain peanuts and are not cooked or jarred on the same day as products that have peanut ingredients. All peanut ingredients are segregated from all Monte Bene® ingredients. All of the cooking lines and kettles used to make the sauces are thoroughly and diligently sanitized to avoid cross-contamination. We adhere to strict equipment-sanitizing procedures.
What is the company allergen policy?
Our facility uses and stores the following ingredients: milk, egg, fish, peanut, tree nut, wheat, and soy. All of these ingredients are used on the same manufacturing lines as Monte Bene® pasta sauces but not on the same day, with the exception of milk. We have a thoroughly documented analytical allergen control program that ensures no cross contamination. All allergen ingredients are stored separately.
